GEÇMİŞTEN GÜNÜMÜZE “BABA” KELİMESİ VE KELİMENİN BİÇİM, ANLAM VE KAVRAM BOYUTU ÜZERİNE

In children’s language, the word baba is said to be derived from the onomatopoeia “ba-ba” and the word “person with a thick voice” baby. However, when examined from past to present, it has been determined that the word baba has been used not only as an onomatopoeia in the form of baba but also in many different forms and meanings. Therefore, in this study, the forms and how many different forms the word baba has had from past to present have been examined and the words used in the meaning of baba from past to present and the meanings they carry have been expressed. It has been explained with which other words the word has been expressed in the past and examples from the texts in which these words are used have been given. At the same time, the words used instead of the word baba in different languages ​​and Anatolian dialects today have been shown. Then, the form, meaning and conceptual area of ​​the word baba have been emphasized and the proverbs, idioms, compound words established with the word baba in Turkish of Turkey and their meanings have been given and their meanings other than their basic meaning have been expressed.
