Propagation dynamics and optical particle manipulation of circular Swallowtail autofocusing beams carrying polynomial power-exponent phase vortices

Abstract In this paper, the circular swallowtail autofocusing beams carrying polynomial power-exponent phase vortices are constructed for the first time, and its propagation dynamics and particle manipulation capabilities are investigated theoretically and experimentally. The synergistic fusion of polynomial power-exponent vortex phase modulation and the intrinsic autofocusing properties of circular Swallowtail beams enables precise and ultra-flexible control advantage of light field structures of this type of beam. The intensity profile, Poynting energy flow, autofocusing ability and self-healing ability under different combinations of beam parameters are investigated and compared in detail, which confirmed the diverse characteristics of the light field structure, the adjustable autofocusing ability, and the excellent self-healing ability. Furthermore, numerical simulation and experimental results prove the capabilities of the new type of beam in terms of particle stable capture, directional transport. The research results of this paper have promising extensive application value in interdisciplinary fields such as biological sciences and physical sciences.
