The role of anime in cultural dissemination

Against the backdrop of internet globalization and digitalization, animations are widely spread worldwide as a means of entertainment. As an important channel to promote culture through digital media in the new era, animations have become the key carrier to convey core values in cross-cultural communication. This study, based on existing literature, analyzes how anime disseminates culture through visuals and music. To achieve the research aim of this study, specific cases are selected to explore the impact of values conveyed in anime on the audience. Meanwhile, it examines how animations boost the local economy and promote cultural exchange. In the process of anime production, producers should not only maintain the richness and coherence of the storyline but also engage the audience's emotions. In addition, the culture intended to be promoted should be integrated into the details of the final work. This will facilitate the audience to reflect on and resonate with the cultural meaning while watching, thereby achieving a subtle and implicit effect of cultural dissemination.
