Cases of hemolytic disease of the newborn due to incompatibility of minor antigens of erythrocytes of the Rh system in Khabarovsk Krai

Hemolytic disease of the fetus and newborn remains one of the urgent problems of neonatology and obstetrics to this day. This article presents cases of hemolytic disease of the newborn that arose as a result of incompatibility of minor antigens of erythrocytes of the Rh (c) system. Attention is focused on the need for immunohematological examination of pregnant women regardless of Rh- affiliation and women with a burdened transfusion and obstetric history to predict the likelihood of development and severity of hemolytic disease, optimize the implementation of hemotransfusion therapy for the newborn, and select blood transfusion media for the woman and child. The need for further study and search for methods for diagnosing immunological incompatibility between mother and fetus at the antenatal stage for the so-called "minor" erythrocyte antigens is shown. The purpose of this study is due to the need, using clinical cases as an example, to increase physicians' awareness of the timely diagnosis of alloimmunization caused by maternal-fetal incompatibility for rare erythrocyte antigens due to the high probability of developing a severe form of HDN.
