Isıl İşlem Uygulanan 1040, 41Cr4 ve 42CrMo4 Çeliklerinin Mikroyapı ve Mekanik Özelliklerinin İncelenmesi
In this study, the effects of heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of 1040, 41Cr4 and 42CrMo4 steels, which are widely used in automotive, machinery, aerospace energy and mining fields, were investigated and compared. The heat treatment stages consist of austenitizing at 840 C, oil quenching and tempering at 600 C. Microstructure examinations of the samples were carried out by optical microscope. The mechanical properties of the samples after heat treatment were determined by tensile test, hardness measurement and impact test. After the experimental study; ferrite and pearlite structure in 1040 steel, martensite and tempered martensite structures in 41Cr4 and 42CrMo4 steels were determined in microstructure analysis. According to the results, 41Cr4 and 42CrMo4 samples had similar hardness and impact strength results, while these results were half lower in 1040 steel. As a result of the tensile test performed after quenching and tempering, the yield and tensile strength values of the three steel types showed different results. As a result, it was observed that 42CrMo4 steel showed a better performance in terms of mechanical properties.
