Meaning of Teacher Education Experience to Promote the Grit of Early Childhood Teachers

The purpose of this study is to explore the meaning of teacher education experiences to promote the grit of infant teachers. To this end, a grit promotion program was organized for 10 infant teachers in charge of class at kindergartens and daycare centers located in J-do, and teacher education was conducted 8 times a week for 120 minutes. Data were collected through participant journals and individual interviews and analyzed using thematic analysis and nomadic analysis methods. The study found that participants experienced changes in perception and attitude toward the situation (sensitive response and coping, acceptance of changing infant education sites and professionalism), motivation to continue teaching (change of thinking about resignation and resignation, restoration of pride and confidence), challenges and overcoming (strengthening self-regulation ability, positive infant life guidance efforts), and reflective reflection (reconstructing self-awareness, re-establishing job values, strengthening behavioral subjectivity, and expanding to reflection on administrative and institutional levels) through grit-promoting teacher education.
