Localization Error Minimization Under BER Constraint for Joint Localization and Communication
For the orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) based integrated localization and communication (ILAC), this letter investigates the minimization problem both radar estimation error and communication transmission error. To begin with, the error minimization problem is formulated as Cramé-Rao bound (CRB) of localization estimation minimization problem, subject to the available transmit power and bit error rate (BER) constraints. Then, utilizing equivalent reformulation of the preceding design problem, we develop an iterative optimization procedure (IOP) that iteratively optimizes the transmit and receive beamformers. Finally, we offer simulation experiments to assess the dependability of the developed algorithm, compared with two other benchmark schemes.
