A Survey on Port Water Surface Target Detection Methods
With the growing importance of global shipping, the demand for port water area safety and intelligent monitoring is continuously increasing. Port surface target detection and dynamic prediction technologies have gradually become the focus of maritime monitoring systems. This paper provides a systematic review of the research progress in port surface target detection in recent years. First, the characteristics of port surface targets and the challenges they bring are discussed. Then, the latest developments in target detection methods are detailed, with particular focus on the evolution of traditional image processing techniques and deep learning technologies. In particular, the application of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), Region-based CNN (R-CNN) and You Only Look Once(YOLO) is highlighted. Finally, the paper summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of existing technologies and points out potential future research directions.
