1-D Virtual Simulation - A Revolution in EV
Global warming and carbon emissions have highlighted the need to decarbonize transportation. Hence, promoting electric vehicles (EVs) has become a key technique for achieving this aim. Although EVs have tremendous benefits in terms of emissions reduction and energy savings, issues such as range and charging infrastructure prevent widespread adoption. This study presents a simulation technique that uses a model to evaluate the effectiveness of an electric vehicle. The primary focus is on analyzing the relationship between the drive cycle and current consumption, which is a vital factor in understanding the energy efficiency and battery lifespan of electric vehicles. The study comprehensively analyzes the many attributes for accurate modeling, utilizing MATLAB as the simulation platform. The simulation framework developed in this study allows for rapid analysis and design iteration, making it very suitable for the automotive industry, particularly for engineering solutions aimed at improving the performance of electric cars. This technique allows for a thorough assessment of dynamics control strategies and energy usage patterns by integrating several subsystems inside a unified modeling framework. The findings of this study demonstrate that the utilization of model-based simulations can enhance the precision and efficiency of engineering procedures, hence contributing to the development of more robust and reliable electric vehicle designs enabling them to enhance their designs and expedite the introduction of cutting-edge automotive technology to the market.
