Robust Transmit–Receive Design for Dual-Function Radar–Communication Systems
This letter investigates a robust transmit (Tx) waveform and receive (Rx) beamforming joint design method for dual-function radar-communication (DFRC) systems under channel state information (CSI) estimation errors and amplitude-phase errors among antenna arrays. The proposed method enables simultaneous target detection and multi-user communication in the presence of interference. Specifically, the design aims to maximize the worst-case radar signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR) while suppressing multi-user interference (MUI) and maintaining radar waveform similarity. A non-convex optimization problem is formulated based on the signal model incorporating CSI estimation and amplitude-phase errors. To solve this problem, an alternating minimization algorithm based on successive convex approximation (AM-SCA) is developed. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method.
