Enhancing Parent-Infant Bonds: Nursing Strategies for Supporting Premature Babies’ Development
Background: Premature birth can lead to severe complications. Results from the “Tromsø Intervention Study on Preterms”, where eight experienced nurses conducted early intervention on premature infants and their parents, showed improved social and cognitive abilities for the children compared to the control group. The aim of this study is to illuminate what contributes to the positive results and what constitutes good nursing care for premature infants and their parents.
