The genome sequence of the Rufous Fungus moth, Nemapogon ruricolella (Stainton, 1849) (Lepidoptera: Tineidae)

<ns3:p> We present a genome assembly from an individual male <ns3:italic>Nemapogon ruricolella</ns3:italic> (Rufous Fungus moth; Arthropoda; Insecta; Lepidoptera; Tineidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 337.26 megabases and 344.24 megabases. Most of haplotype 1 (99.91%) is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z chromosome, while 96.96% of the haplotype 2 sequence is scaffolded into 31 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the Z chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 17.87 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland. </ns3:p>
