Direct localization algorithm for wideband sources based on reduced dimension Capon in distributed arrays
To enhance the localization accuracy of wideband sources using distributed arrays, this paper proposes a direct position determination algorithm called reduced-dimension Capon algorithm (DPD-RD-Capon). By employing distributed array data fusion processing, the algorithm significantly improves positioning precision. Additionally, the introduction of a dimensionality reduction strategy eliminates the need for grid searches over unknown attenuation coefficient domains, thereby achieving lower computational complexity compared to conventional methods. Crucially, the proposed algorithm inherits the high resolution and superior localization accuracy inherent in the DPD-Capon framework. Numerical simulations have verified that the proposed algorithm outperforms other traditional algorithms.
