RF stealth method based on two-dimensional Van Atta array

With the rapid development of modern radar detection technology, there is an urgent need for the development of target RF stealth technology. However, traditional stealth technologies such as frequency selective surfaces and impedance matching are difficult to balance wideband and multi angle issues. Therefore, this paper proposes an RCS reduction method based on a two-dimensional Van Atta array. By embedding a phase cancellation mechanism into the Van Atta array to disrupt its inherent symmetric phase relationship and introducing a checkerboard phase distribution, Integrating the phase cancellation mechanism into the retrodirective function to suppress array radiation componentsEarrayin the incident direction, while synergistically suppressing the structural scatteringEstructthrough techniques such as radar-absorbing materials, achieving peak RCS reduction in the incident direction with wide-angle spatial coverage. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method achieves a peak RCS reduction exceeding 50 dB within a (0°, 60°) incidence angle range at the central frequency of 10 GHz, while maintaining a reduction of over 10 dB across a 2 GHz bandwidth. This provides a lightweight solution for multi-angle radio frequency stealth.
