A RELEVÂNCIA DA ATIVIDADE FÍSICA NO CONTEXTO POLICIAL MILITAR: UMA REVISÃO BIBLIOGRÁFICA SOBRE PREPARAÇÃO FÍSICA, DESEMPENHO OPERACIONAL E ASPECTOS MULTIDIMENSIONAIS

This article aims to analyze different perspectives from different authors, based on a literature review and a textual discussion highlighting the importance of physical activity in the context of military police work. The research was conducted using available scientific databases such as SciELO, Google Scholar, PubMed, and LILACS, prioritizing publications between 2013 and 2025 to ensure a more reliable analysis. The results indicate that regular physical activity significantly contributes to the physical and mental health of police officers, in addition to improving performance in operational functions such as tactical monitoring, physical confrontations, and patrols, also improving quality of life. The review highlights the need for continuous, profession-specific physical training programs to improve operational performance and multidimensional aspects. The study suggests the inclusion of trained multipliers within the military institution itself, aiming at operational efficiency and the preservation of the health of public safety professionals within the Military Police (ANDRADE; SILVA, 2018; OLIVEIRA, 2020).
