Influence of Strength Abilities of Men 18-25 Years Old on the Level of Special Training in Fire-Rescue Sports

The highly specific applied nature of fire and rescue sports determines the high relevance of the study of certain issues of the development of strength qualities in the sport under consideration. The stated study considered the power and special training of men aged 18–25 years in the process of practicing fire and rescue sports. 18 athletes aged 18–25 years took part in the 1-year pedagogical experiment. In the process of a natural pedagogical experiment, athletes trained at least 4 times a week. Two or three classes were devoted to sports improvement in fire and rescue sports and speed and strength training. In addition, firefighter athletes were engaged in strength training 2 times a week. In the first lesson, the athletes trained the deltoid muscles and leg muscles, and in the second – the pectoral muscles, back muscles and arms. In total, each muscle group trained for 3-5 sets with a weight of 60-80% of the PM for 8–15 repetitions. In the course of the study, the following tests were used: - to assess the degree of development of special preparedness: overcoming a 100-meter obstacle course; climbing an assault ladder to the fourth floor of the training tower. - in the process of strength training of firefighters, such control exercises as deadlift, barbell squat, bench press, wrist dynamometry, pull-up were used. An analysis of the results obtained at the end of the pedagogical experiment showed that the level of special training of firefighter athletes has significantly increased. Based on the results of special and strength training of firefighter athletes, taking into account the revealed correlations, it can be reasonably argued that the increase in strength training of athletes has a positive effect on the level of their special training. The conducted studies have shown that the introduction of strength training, among other things, has a positive effect on the growth of special training of firefighters and firefighter athletes.
