Dizajn, formulacija i izrada film obloženih lijekova (Design, formulation and production of film coated medicines)

Tablets are solid dosage forms containing individually dosed active substances, which are prepared by compressing powdered, crystalline or granular active substances with or without tabletting excipients. Most tablets are administered orally and are absorbed in the oral cavity, stomach or gastrointestinal tract. The production of tablets began in the 19th century, but the technology for their production has developed greatly in the last few decades. In recent years, with various reforms of pharmaceutical GMP (good manufacturing practice) standards, tablet production has grown to unprecedented levels. There are two ways to make tablets by compression, and these are direct compression and compression of granules. The procedures differ in the steps of pre-processing the mixture of powders or granules, and they have in common the last step, tableting. As the technology of tablet production developed, so did the devices, the so-called tablets. Today, these are modern automated devices, which can be adapted to the production of various types and shapes of tablets. There are two types of tablets, eccentric and rotary. Rotary tablets are more widely used today due to their advantages such as uniform tablet hardness and large capacity. Before the tablets are distributed on the market, they must undergo various technological quality testing procedures, which are prescribed by the pharmacopoeia. Key words: tablets, microencapsulation
