ANÁLOGOS E DERIVADOS DE PIPERINA COM POTENCIAL ATIVIDADE ANTIPARASITÁRIA: REVISÃO SISTEMÁTICA COM RISCO DE VIÉS ADAPTADO PARA ESTUDO IN VITRO

Objective: To analyze the profile of piperine analogues and derivatives that had antiparasitic activity against the genus Leishmania and Trypanosoma. Methods: The study was a systematic review, which used the descriptors: Piperine (Piperine), analogues and derivatives (analogs and derivatives), Leishmaniasis (Leishmaniasis), Trypanosoma (Trypanosoma), antiparasitic agents (antiparasitic agents) in the following databases data: Virtual Health Library (VHL), National Library of Medicine (PubMed), (Scientific Electronic Library Online) SciELO, (Elsevier Database) ScienceDirect, Scopus and. Embase. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses (PRISMA) checklist was used in the study cataloging process. Furthermore, an adaptation was made to assess the risk of bias for in vitro studies using the Office of Health Assessment and Translation (OHAT) tool. Results: Initially, 659 studies were databases, and after applying specific selection procedures inclusion and exclusion criteria, 10 scientific articles were selected. Conclusion: The research showed that piperine analogues and derivatives showed potential activity against the evolutionary forms of parasites of the genus Leishmania and Trypanosoma.
