Освітні втрати з математики в період воєнного стану: підходи додіагностики та компенсації

The article examines the current problem of educational losses in Ukraine caused by full-scale military aggression launched by the Russian Federation against Ukraine. The study of the problem of educational losses in our country is especially relevant, since first the Covid-19 pandemic, and later the war, caused a temporary cessation of the face-to-face educational process in a large area of Ukraine. With this in mind, educational losses can negatively affect the development of the individual and society in the future. They have been shown to have an accumulative effect, in particular they can cause losses at subsequent stages of training. The article is devoted to the problem of finding mechanisms for overcoming educational losses of mathematics apprenticeships. The article elucidates the essence of the concept of «learning losses», which are understood as any loss of knowledge, abilities, skills, etc. or their lack of acquisition and/or slowing down or stopping academic progress due to pauses in the education of a specific student. It was found that the primary task for the education system is to conduct a qualitative diagnosis of the performance of students at different levels of education in the main educational subjects in order to identify gaps in knowledge and skills. Based on the analysis of publications on the problem of overcoming educational losses, measures that will help solve this problem are described, including: the possibility of a repeated academic year; organization of education during the holidays; introduction of free tutoring; creation of integration classes; adaptation and updating of educational programs; development of additional materials on the most important topics; methodical support of teachers to work with students who have educational losses; strengthening of school autonomy and partnership between teachers and parents.
