REPONSE DES VARIETES DE BLE TENDRE A DIFFERENTES DOSES ET FREQUENCES D’IRRIGATION A L’OFFICE DU NIGER, MALI
The Weak agronomic practice and water management skills in wheat growing are a constraint in the Office du Niger perimeters. The Kogoni sub-station was the site of experiments during the cold counter-seasons of 2020-2021 and 2021-2022. The aim was to analyze the characteristics of the basic parameters of technical management of gravity irrigation water for wheat in rotation with rice, with a view to helping improve its production in the Office du Niger. Plant, soil and climate parameters were determined to better characterize wheat irrigation parameters. Analyses were performed using Statistix software for comparison of means at the 5% threshold. The results obtained were 3000 m3/ha for net practice and 5000 m3/ha for gross input. The average wheat yield was 5280 kg/ha with the E 29 variety at 10-day watering frequency. Such efficient management of wheat irrigation can help minimize capillary rise, which can lead to soil degradation due to alkalinization under irrigation linked to a sub-flush water table.
