El tonalpohualli y su correspondencia con el hombre

This article aims to explain the close relationship between the tonalpohualli, or 260-day ritual calendar, and human gestation, the planet Venus, and humanity. These relationships are anchored in the Nahuatl deity Quetzalcoatl, who is also the inventor of this calendar. The development of this writing first sets out the different proposals on the origin of the tonalpohualli. It then explores the similarities between its 260-day cycle and the human gestation period, as well as the period of Venus. Finally, it establishes, through myths, songs, iconography, and chronicles, the possible connections between this calendar and humankind.
