Comparison of physical-mechanical properties of cryogels based on polyvinyl alcohol with addition of carbon nanotubes with bovine pericardium stabilized by dee

The physical-mechanical properties of PVA-CNT cryogels prepared by cryostructuring both before and after lyophilization have been evaluated by uniaxial tensile testing, elastic hysteresis analysis, numerical modeling and creep testing. An increase in tensile strength and an increase in the maximum elongation of hydrogels after lyophilization took place, however, their tendency to creep under constant prolonged loads was revealed. Cryogels PVA-CNT and PVA-CNT-L are promising as materials for polymer heart valves, but their tendency to creep limits their use without additional modification.

Abstract

The physical-mechanical properties of PVA-CNT cryogels prepared by cryostructuring both before and after lyophilization have been evaluated by uniaxial tensile testing, elastic hysteresis analysis, numerical modeling and creep testing. An increase in tensile strength and an increase in the maximum elongation of hydrogels after lyophilization took place, however, their tendency to creep under constant prolonged loads was revealed. Cryogels PVA-CNT and PVA-CNT-L are promising as materials for polymer heart valves, but their tendency to creep limits their use without additional modification.
