KARBONSUZ ULAŞIM İÇİN BÜTÜNLEŞİK HAREKETLİLİK
The transport sector accounts for one-fourth of global greenhouse gas emissions, making it a critical field in the fight against climate change. In this context, a mere focus on vehicle technology is insufficient; a structural and behavioral transformation of the transportation system is also essential. This study centers on the concept of “integrated mobility” as a key to achieving carbon-neutral transport, offering a comparative analysis of Türkiye’s current transport policies and infrastructure alongside leading European countries. The paper explores core components such as travel demand management, modal shift strategies, electric vehicle penetration, public transport integration, and digitalization within the Avoid – Shift –Improve framework. The findings reveal that Türkiye must adopt holistic, data-driven, and inclusive policy approaches to effectively progress toward a carbon-neutral transport future.
