ANALYSIS OF POWER DEMAND IN A HYBRID DRIVE SYSTEM OF A HEAVY TRACKED VEHICLE

This article reviews selected current solutions and analyzes the possibilities of using a hybrid, diesel-electric drive system in heavy military vehicles. The criterion adopted was the effective use of the power of the drive engine, and the power demand of individual subsystems of the power transmission system was estimated. The present research aims to determine the possibilities of reducing the unit fuel consumption while increasing the tactical mobility of the vehicle.
