Türkiye’de Sivil Toplum Kuruluşlarının Çevrimiçi Şeffaflık Düzeyi: Kızılay, Yeşilay ve Darüşşafaka Örneği
The purpose of this study is to determine the level of transparency of the official web pages of the Red Crescent, Green Crescent and Darüşşafaka, which are well-established non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Türkiye. The scale used for this purpose is the 29-criteria web page transparency scale developed by Rodríguez et al. in 2012 from the Lealtad Foundation's best practices and transparency guide. This scale determines the level of corporate transparency, operational transparency and financial transparency. The scale is used to determine information about management, management meetings, and transparency of member-supplier relations within the scope of corporate transparency. Within the scope of operational transparency, it includes social goal, strategic plan, annual plan, project monitoring, project selection criteria and volunteer participation. Within the scope of financial transparency, it determines the level of public disclosure regarding donations, funds allocated to activities, privacy policy for members and donors, annual budget, activity reports, expenditure policies, fund monitoring and criteria for supplier selection. The findings of the study show that the three NGOs examined are adequate in terms of organizational transparency and operational transparency, but limited in terms of financial transparency.
