Smart Lane Management

This project aims to combat the growing challenge of traffic congestion by introducing a dynamic lane management system that replaces traditional static dividers. Unlike conventional fixed-lane setups that remain unchanged regardless of traffic volume, this system adapts in real time to current traffic conditions, significantly improving road efficiency. With increasing urbanization and a surge in the number of vehicles, effectively utilizing available road space has become more critical than ever. The proposed solution relies on Arduino Uno technology, integrated with components such as Infrared (IR) sensors, DC motors, and the L298N motor driver module to control lane assignments dynamically. By reallocating lanes based on realtime demand, the system helps reduce traffic buildup, minimize accidents, and provide faster clearance for emergency vehicles at intersections and traffic signals, contributing to smarter and safer traffic management.
