Leveraging the Spoke Knowledge Graph for Contextual Biomedical Question Answering
This research concludes the construction of Knowledge Graph-based Retrieval Augmented Generation, which synthesizes highly accurate and contextually relevant biomedical text by marrying the SPOKE biomedical Knowledge Graph with advanced language generation capabilities of GPT-4. With the two powerful technologies, KGRAG guarantees that the content produced is absolutely grounded in established biomedical knowledge, enhancing the correctness and utility of the outputs for various tasks like text generation, question answering, and summarization. As against the traditional language models relying on their own internal datasets, KG-RAG enlists the specialization of accuracy through the recheck of the SPOKE Knowledge Graph domainspecific data. With its erudite database of genes, pathways, diseases, and drug interactions, the graph is pivotal in writing prose that is true to science. The class of context extraction offered by KG-RAG is among its greatest benefits. Which, depending on the inquiry of the user, carefully selects and filters the most pertinent pieces of information. By so doing, this procedure optimizes the labour with respect to tokens and processing resources, enabling the system to deliver good outputs with little resource consumption. The KG-RAG is scalable and accurate under the efficient handling of intricate biological queries. These novel methodologies developed for KG-RAG showcase use of knowledge-grounded language modeling in highly organized contexts such as biomedicine, presenting a trustworthy process that efficiently caters to the demands of credible biomedical writers; hence satisfying criteria in biomedical AI applications for relevance and quality.
