Implementation of Network Topology Anomaly Traffic Monitoring and Management by Using Digital Twin

Digital Twin technology, which creates virtual replicas of physical entities for real-time simulation and analysis, is used in various industries for enhanced visualization and monitoring. This study examines its application in detecting anomaly traffic within network topologies using two virtual machines (VMs) running Mininet. VM1 captures ICMP traffic, converts it to JSON, and sends it to VM2, which replays the traffic virtually. This setup successfully mirrors the physical network's state, allowing for analysis under both normal and anomalous conditions. The results highlight Digital Twin technology's effectiveness in simulating and analyzing network anomalies without disrupting the actual network, proving its value in network security and management through 4 experimental cases.
