CISTOTOMIA EM FELINOS DECORRENTE DE URÓLITO MISTO: RELATO DE CASO

This case report describes a cystotomy procedure in a domestic feline diagnosed with vesical urolithiasis caused by mixed uroliths, emphasizing clinical, diagnostic, and surgical aspects. The patient, a 6-year-old mixed-breed female cat weighing 5.3 kg, presented with hematuria and inappropriate urination. Imaging exams revealed bladder calculi, confirmed as calcium oxalate after laboratory analysis. Cystotomy was performed with complete stone removal, bladder lavage, and two-layer cystorrhaphy. Postoperative care included analgesics, antibiotics, and guidance on increased hydration and environmental enrichment. After 15 days, the patient showed satisfactory recovery and no clinical abnormalities. This case highlights the importance of diagnostic imaging and surgical intervention in feline urolithiasis, as well as preventive measures to reduce recurrence.
