Bekir Topaloğlu’nun Tasavvuf Hakkındaki Görüşleri
The rulings derived from religious texts are generally classified into three main groups: faith, deeds and morality. However, the inner aspects of almost all religious rulings, especially faith, that appeal to the heart and soul have also been pointed out. It is accepted that Sufism emerged based on this inner aspect of religion. Bekir Topaloğlu thinks that the Sufi movement, which is dominated by the emotional aspects of rational reasoning, feelings and emotions in humans, evolved from asceticism (zühd) to Sufism and from there to tarikats (organized structure) in the historical process. And as a result of this institutionalization, he thinks that there has been some erosion in concepts such as sheikhdom, sainthood, intercession and miracles, and that negative inner perceptions that contradict the apparent meaning of the religious texts (nass) have emerged. In this report, we will try to evaluate some Sufi concepts such as Sufism, Sufism and Sufi order and Sheikhdom in the light of the texts, based on the translation of the late Topaloğlu's Hoca Muhammed Tanci's work titled "On Islamic Sufism" and his article titled "On Sufism-Tariqat and Piety" about these sects whose emotional and spiritual aspects seem to be more advanced than their rational reasoning.
