Background.Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection remains a major public health challenge worldwide, affecting over 250 million individuals and causing significant mortality from cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).Early diagnosis, risk stratification, and appropriate antiviral therapy are crucial for effective disease management.Methods.This retrospective study evaluated outcomes in patients with chronic HBV infection treated with Entecavir (ENC) in the Infectious Diseases Clinic 1, Galai (2020-2025), in accordance with therapeutic protocols.Patients co-infected with HDV or HIV were excluded.Three patients with HBV-HCV co-infection initiated ENC after documented HBV DNA replication, following sustained virological suppression of HCV after antiviral therapy.Results.A total of 120 HBV patients were included, aged 19-93 years (median 53 years), predominantly male, mostly from urban areas, with HBV diagnosis durations ranging from 5 to 30 years and ENC treatment 5 years. All patients-maintained HBV-DNA suppression; however, only one achieved HBsAg seroconversion.Eleven percent fulfilled criteria for cirrhosis, one patient underwent liver transplantation, 6.6% developed HCC, and 10% died from various causes.
