Gambaran Kadar Nikotin dalam Urin pada Perokok Elektronik (Vape) di Morevapor Mangkukusuman Kota Tegal
Nicotine is a chemical that can make a person relax and calm, and can cause illness and even death. Nicotine can be found in conventional cigarettes and electronic cigarettes. The nicotine content in electronic cigarettes varies from 3 mg to 50 mg. If you consume 60 mg of nicotine directly it will cause death in just minutes, and long-term consumption will cause diseases that can cause death. Nicotine is metabolized in the liver, along with the lungs and kidneys, which is responsible for the high production of carcinogenic intermediates and other byproducts that also bind to Nicotine Acetylcholine Receptors (nAChRs) and cause changes in receptors. It takes 5-15 seconds after the first inhale for nicotine to react in the human body (brain). E-cigarettes, while marketed as a safer alternative, still expose users to harmful nicotine levels. Even though they may contain fewer carcinogens than traditional cigarettes, the risk of nicotine addiction remains high, and the long-term health effects are still being studied. Therefore, reducing or eliminating nicotine consumption is crucial for overall health.
