Farklı Olgunlaşma Sürelerine Sahip Patates Çeşitlerinin Büyüme, Verim ve Kalitesine Azotlu Gübre Formlarının Etkisi
The diversity of climatic conditions necessitates specific agronomic practices to achieve maximum and economic yield in each region. This study was carried out the effects of nitrogen fertilizer forms to on growth, development and quality of potato varieties with different maturity duration in Erzurum. In this study, the four potato varieties having different maturation time, i.e, Binella (early), Natascha (medium early), Granola (medium late), and Bamba (very late), and three nitrogen fertilizer forms (ammonium sulfate, ammonium nitrate and urea) were tested. The experimental design was a randomized complete block design with three replicates. The results obtained showed that potato varieties and nitrogen fertilizer forms had highly significant differences for specific gravity and starch (%) ratio among the examined characters. Ammonium sulfate gave in terms of important characteristics as tuber yield (1628.9 kg/da), specific gravity (1,081 g/cm3), dry matter (21.9%) and starch rates (14.0%). The medium erarly Natascha was superior to the other varieties in terms of specific gravity (1,083 g/cm3), dry matter (22.3%) and starch (14.4%) rates and Binella have also been a remarkable genotype in terms of tuber yield (1702,9 kg/da1). As a result, the use of ammonium sulphate as a form of nitrogen fertilizer could be suggested for potato cultivation under regional conditions. As for variety selection, medium early (Natascha) and early (Binella) varieties could be preferred in terms of quality and yield, respectively.
