Arama Motoru Optimizasyonu (SEO) ve Medya Etkileşiminin Bibliyometrik Analizi: 2000-2025 Dönemi Küresel Araştırma Eğilimleri ve Akademik İş Birlikleri
This study aims to systematically examine the interaction between search engine optimization (SEO) and the media sector through bibliometric analysis methodology. The research encompasses 3,625 academic publications published between 2000-2025 in the Web of Science database using the keyword "Media SEO." A bibliometric analysis approach was adopted, with data analyzed using VOSviewer software. The study systematically examined publication types, temporal trends, keyword clustering, author collaborations, citation networks, and country-institution based collaborations. The findings demonstrate an exponential increase in publication numbers beginning in 2012, with publications rising from 27 in 2001 to 297 in 2023. Academic articles constitute 82.7% of total publications, while the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering leads with 363 publications. Country analysis reveals that Spain is the pioneer in this field. Keyword clustering identified four main themes: digital journalism, marketing applications, media systems, and academic context studies. Author collaboration analysis determined that Codina and Lopezosa are the most productive researchers in the field. The research demonstrates that SEO has evolved beyond being merely a technical tool to become a strategic factor that transforms news production and editorial decision-making processes. This transformation necessitates establishing new balances between traditional journalism values and algorithmic requirements. The study represents the first comprehensive bibliometric analysis conducted in this field and provides strategic guidance for determining future research orientations.
