Analysis of the Status and Structure of Online Design Sharing Platforms
An online design sharing platform refers to a digital-based content distribution platform where designers can share their work and receive feedback. Along with the non-face-to-face transition, these platforms are becoming more important, and ethical issues such as the protection of user rights, such as unauthorized use of content and uncertainty of the responsible entity, are also occurring. However, research focusing on the platform's structure and regulatory aspects is still limited. As a result, this study visualized the sharing process of notebook portfolio, contrast, and Pinterest and analyzed ethical issues according to the sharing structure and regulations based on the four evaluation factors derived through prior research. As a result of the study, all three platforms tended to avoid the platform's responsibility by putting user responsibility at the forefront, and they were analyzed in various ways according to the platform's sharing method and regulation. Therefore, this study is meaningful in that it structurally analyzes ethical issues that may arise in the process of sharing platform-based works and derives a strategy to protect users' works in the process of uploading design results through each platform.
