Analyzing Visitor Experience Factors and Media Art Expansion in Online Reviews of teamLab Borderless
This study applied LDA topic modeling to visitor reviews of teamLab Borderless to analyze the key factors of visitor experience and to empirically validate the potential for expansion of media art. The analysis identified that Topics 1 and 5 illustrate how interactivity fosters active visitor participation and how the convergence of art and technology enables multisensory immersion and affective engagement. Topics 3 and 4 reveal that positive aesthetic experiences and the recognition of exhibition value lead to recommendations and social media sharing, thereby amplifying promotional effects and generating a virtuous cycle of expanded participation. In conclusion, the case of teamLab Borderless empirically demonstrates that active participation through interactivity, the expansion of immersive sensory experiences, and the dissemination of social sharing serve as critical factors. These factors collectively drive the popular diffusion and heightened public engagement of media art exhibitions.
