A Study on the Translation Mechanism of Visual Symbols from a Cultural Gene Perspective and Its Educational Value: A Case Study of the "15th National Games" and "Para Games"
This study uses the 15th National Games of China and the 12th National Paralympic Games & 9th Special Olympic Games as a case study to explore the translation mechanism of visual symbols in major sports events and their educational value, using the theory of cultural memes. Concurrently, the paper analyzes the value of visual symbol translation in education, including its functions in building cultural identity, transmitting sportsmanship, aesthetic education, and cross-cultural understanding. The study shows that visual symbols, as cultural carriers, play an important role not only in event communication but also have unique value in educational practice.
