Türkçe ve Türk Kültürü Ders Kitaplarındaki Etkinliklerin İncelenmesi (7.Seviye)

This study examines the pedagogical qualities of the activities found in the Turkish and Turkish Culture textbooks prepared by the Ministry of National Education (Tur: MEB) for Turkish students living abroad, with the aim of supporting their effective acquisition of the Turkish language and culture. The analysis focuses on the 2019 edition of the 7th-level textbook, which was selected as the sample. Activities were evaluated under four main categories: basic language skills, grammar, cultural elements, and instructional clarity. The distribution of activities related to basic language skills was presented with quantitative data, while grammar and cultural elements were assessed through qualitative analysis. Instructions were examined in terms of clarity and comprehensibility, though the findings were not tabulated. The analysis revealed that the number of listening and speaking activities was insufficient and highlighted the need for pedagogical consultation in the design of certain tasks. Additionally, some grammar activities were found to be inadequate for fostering language awareness, and inconsistencies were observed in the transitions between activities. Nevertheless, the textbook was found to be rich in its representation of cultural elements.
