Breve histórico da Educação Infantil no Brasil

This article aims to define childhood and Early Childhood Education as a specific pedagogical field based on the reading of what a child is, articulating their knowledge and experiences, without the adult-centric allusion of being cognitivist. It is a pedagogical field that constitutes the first stage of the right to education. This study presents the historical path of Early Childhood Education in Brazil, in order to elucidate in a simple and objective way the chronological accounts of the events that preceded the determination of Early Childhood Education as a pedagogical field
