Não me procura no passado, eu não estou mais lá: narrativas e memórias de jovens investidores midiáticos

This text discusses memory as a dispositif and self technology for contemporary subjectivation. By analyzing the profiles of young media investors on Instagram, we argue that investing today presents itself as a moral framework that produces subjectivities aligned with the rationality of neoliberal biopolitics. We observe how the uses of a past marked by social and economic issues give new meaning to suffering, which is converted into a condition for ascension and success. Finally, we seek to reflect on how narratives of overcoming and enrichment are not merely symptoms of financial capitalism but elements of a way of life expanded by finance. It is capable of stimulating practices and regimes of conduct focused on self-responsibility and self-blame.
