Neoliberalismo, Democracia e Direitos Humanos: um ensaio
We live in an era of unequivocal hegemony of the neoliberal system. This is not just an economic model, but a rationality that organizes social space in its different aspects, as well as a form of production of subjectivities. Politics and democracy, therefore, decline in a public space reduced to the production of value and consumption. In this context, struggles for human rights find themselves in a paradoxical situation. If this model of social organization in which we are living systematically produces vulnerability and inequality, how can human rights become effective without a radical political critique of the established system? This is the guiding thread of the argument we want to present in this article. Which also carries out a critical reading of the foundations of neoliberalism and proposes the concept of "managed society" from the Frankfurt School as a current model of thought.
