IoT-Driven Automatic Pump Activation And Leak Detection System

In a modern water management system, there are many system that ensures efficient water usage and prevent wastage, which are essential. The work focuses on a system that detects the leakage in pipelines when there is a water flow through it, and in addition, the work also includes pump activation by monitoring the water level in the tank [12]. Here, flow sensors are used to detect the abnormal water flow indicative of a leak. The system uses an IoT-enabled module to send real-time alerts via Gmail to the user, providing immediate notification of the issue. It also uses a Blynk app to show the flow of water in the corresponding flow sensor. Here, we use a solenoid valve. When a leak is detected, the system breaks the water flow from the tank by closing the solenoid valve manually or automatically. The integration of IoT technology ensures that users can manage their water systems remotely and receive timely updates, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency and reliability of water management in residential and commercial settings.
