Coupled Inductor Based Three Port High Gain DC to DC Converter for Renewable Energy Systems
Solar Photovoltaic (PV) system-based power distribution is quickly rising and becoming more significant as oil reserves decrease and environmental concerns grow. DCDC converters are critical components of solar power systems because they transport electricity from the source to the loads. The researchers developed three-port, high gain DC-DC converter with an integrated inductor use in Renewable Energy Systems (RES). This converter improves voltage gain by attaching an inductor. PV panel and batteries supply power to load. To achieve high voltage gain, PV panel’s electricity routed through three-port DC-to-DC converter. A Proportional Integral (PI) controller is used to control the converter’s output power. The PI controller’s parameters modified using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) generator. Node MCU with Wi-Fi module utilises the parameters like $V_{p v}, I_{p v}, \mathrm{SOC}, V_{b}, I_{b}$ for the purpose of Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring. The proposed converter achieves higher efficiency value of $95 \%$ and the results are simulated by using Matlab software.
