Advanced Speed Control of Induction Motors with Addax-Inspired Optimization Strategy for Robust Performance in Varying Load Conditions
Induction motor (IM) drives face some performance degradation under variable load conditions because of parameter sensitivity and lack of adaptability. These difficulties negatively affect speed control due to the relevant control schemes being inaccurate for parameter models, by most frequently in applicability of traditional vector control (VC). To mitigate the difficulties, this work developed an Addax-Inspired Optimization Algorithm (AOA), which adaptively tune the Proportional Integral (PI) controller for systematic performance improvements due to enhanced stability and reduced rotor speed response. A Power Factor Correction (PFC) based boost converter is utilized to rectify AC to DC while elevating voltage levels and improving power quality. The three-phase Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) subsequently converts the regulated three-phase DC to AC for efficiently power the motor. The proposed system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink with validation of efficiency $\mathbf{9 4. 3 \%}$ demonstrating its utility under dynamic load conditions.
