Performances of Optimal Power Flow Based Hydro Thermal Scheduling Using SCA
The current study aims to solve two challenging power system issues in a jointly manner which are HTS and OPF problems. Using a conventional IEEE 39 bus test network, the current study has resolved the alone HTS problem at first. After that, collectively, HTS and OPF issue has been addressed. Two cases that are Case 1 and Case 2, are meant to lower the generation cost for the HTS issue alone and the HTS and OPF issue together. In the current work, the inspection has been made for a dynamic range of 24 hours. Using the Sine Cosine optimization method, the objective values have been effectively computed. In the calculation of cost function valve point impact has been taken into account. The SCA method is a new algorithm which has very good in keep balance between two qualities of the algorithm which are local search ability and the power of global solution finding.
