Research on UAV Intelligent Inspection Technology Based on Computer Vision

In recent years, UAVs have been increasingly deployed across industrial applications. In professional domains including power infrastructure, precision agriculture, geospatial surveying, and emergency management, operators frequently utilize UAVs to perform aerial inspection and photographic missions. However, mission execution often encounters operational challenges such as excessive costs, suboptimal efficiency, and delayed trajectory updates due to environmental factors (e.g., meteorological conditions, illumination variations) and operator proficiency limitations. To resolve these issues, our research proposes an intelligent inspection scheme for unmanned aerial vehicles based on computer vision techniques. The proposed method enables UAVs to perform power line tracking flights while autonomously adapting to inspection tasks. Key functionalities include intelligent recognition and power line detection. The system achieves a single-frame inference time of less than 4 ms, recognition precision exceeding 85%, and real-time power line detection with directional analysis. Experimental results demonstrate significant improvements in both the accuracy and efficiency of UAV-based power line inspections.
