Numerical Simulation and Dynamic Prediction Analysis of Waterflooding Development in Heterogeneous Reservoirs

Aiming at the difficult problems in the waterflooding development of heterogeneous reservoirs, geological models and numerical models are constructed for research. By clarifying the quantitative characterization of reservoir heterogeneity by parameters such as the coefficient of variation of permeability, the deterministic and stochastic modeling methods are used to depict the geological features, and the geological modeling is completed. When constructing the numerical model, reasonable assumptions and simplifications, accurate parameter settings and strict debugging are carried out. The numerical results of Reservoir S show that for the scheme proposed in this paper, the oil production first increases and then decreases, the water production continues to rise, and the reservoir pressure gradually stabilizes. After the implementation of the scheme, it is predicted that the ultimate recovery factor will be increased by more than 5%.
