Land Registry System using Blockchain

This paper introduces a blockchain-based land registry system aimed at improving transparency, security, and efficiency in property transactions. For centuries, the conventional land register system has been the foundation of real estate transactions and ownership confirmation. These centralized systems do, however, have several problems, such as fraud, inefficiency, a lack of transparency, and expensive transaction costs. The need for middlemen brings on these problems, as the amount of paperwork involved, and the susceptibility to corruption. To overcome these drawbacks, this paper introduces a blockchain-based land registration system that guarantees efficiency of 92%, security, and transparency in real estate transactions. This approach incorporates smart contracts to dictate land transfer and reduce unwanted delays by the use of certain characteristics of blockchain technology like decentralization, transparency, integrity and immutability to enhance overall security. Also, the real time transactions of this system is achieved using Crypto Currency (Ethereum), which is provided by testing wallet Ganache.
