Gain-Scheduled Static Output Feedback <i>H</i> ∞ Control for LPV Systems: A Dynamic Event-Triggered Approach

This letter addresses the challenge of dynamic event-triggered gain-scheduled static output feedback (SOF) H∞ control for linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems. The proposed SOF H∞ optimization method constructs a new slack matrix to reduce the conservatism of the control design and can be extended to the event-triggered control framework. To address the complexity of control gain computation caused by the continuity of scheduling parameters, the LPV system is formulated in a polytopic form, and a gain-scheduled SOF controller is presented. A dynamic event-triggered control scheme is designed to further reduce the control update frequency compared to the static scheme by incorporating an internal dynamic variable, while the Zeno phenomenon is precluded via a proof by contradiction. The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated through a numerical example.
