The role of stakeholder engagement in the implementation of social projects
Social standards within the management framework of externally funded projects require the preparation and implementation of a stakeholder engagement plan. The main objective of this plan is to consult stakeholders by actively involving them in the decision-making process, offering them the opportunity to provide feedback and express their views regarding the expected results, benefits, and potential negative consequences of the project. The involvement of local communities is crucial for the project's success, as it ensures effective collaboration between project staff and community members and minimizes and mitigates the social and environmental risks associated with the proposed project. Strengthening stakeholder engagement enhances transparency, social responsibility, and the sustainable development of communities impacted by social interventions.
